I cracked TCS Digital from CGC Landran. Here's the exact preparation I did.

TCS Digital is 7 LPA. The base TCS (Ninja track) is 3.36 LPA. The difference between the two is basically one coding section — but that section requires actual DSA preparation, not just aptitude. I cleared Digital from CGC Landran in the Oct 2025 drive. This is the exact breakdown of how I prepared over the 3 months before.

First, the NQT structure. There are four parts: Verbal Ability, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and for Digital track specifically, a Programming Logic + Advanced Coding section. The coding section has 2 problems. You need to solve both fully, or solve one fully and one partially, to qualify for Digital.

My 3-month plan (August–October): August was completely aptitude. Two hours daily on IndiaBix — verbal 45 minutes, quant 45 minutes, reasoning 30 minutes. September was DSA. My targets: 30 easy LeetCode problems to build confidence, then 50 mediums in the patterns that TCS favors — arrays, strings, linked lists, trees, basic DP.

October was mock tests. TCS iON has official mock papers on their website — do ALL of them. I did 6 full mocks in the last 3 weeks. The interface is the same as the actual exam, the timing is the same, even the difficulty distribution is similar.

The day of the exam: I was in the 9 AM slot. The coding section opened and I saw both problems. Problem 1: find all pairs in an array that sum to a given K (frequency map approach). Problem 2: rotate a linked list by K positions. I had solved both patterns before. 45 minutes total for both — I finished in 38 minutes. Digital qualifier.

One thing the coaching classes skip: the WorkStyle section on the NQT is not a formality. It's a personality/values assessment. Don't try to game it with extreme answers. Answer consistently as someone who is reliable, communicative, and customer-focused.
