Rotate PDF pages

Fix sideways or upside-down scans — all pages or just some.

Your files never leave your device. Everything here runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded to Fledgr or anywhere else — there is no server to upload to. Turn off your Wi-Fi after the page loads and it still works.

Pick one PDF — or drag it here.

How rotation is stored in a PDF

A PDF page carries a rotation value of 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees, and readers turn the page by that much before drawing it. Rotating here changes that number — it does not re-draw or re-compress anything, so the file stays the same size and the text stays selectable.

Rotation is cumulative and starts from whatever each page already has, so a page that is already sideways and a page that is upright both end up turned by the same amount relative to how they look now. If a document is a mix, rotate the pages that need it by number rather than doing the whole file.

When a student needs this

Nearly always: phone scans. You photograph a page in landscape without thinking, and the assignment opens sideways for whoever is marking it. Scanner apps guess the orientation and get it wrong on handwriting. Lab readings recorded on a wide table get scanned rotated on purpose and then need turning for printing.

It matters more than it sounds. A sideways submission is the sort of thing that gets sent back, and turning it takes fifteen seconds.

Your files never leave your device

The file is read straight from disk into your browser's memory, edited there, and written back out as a download. It is never uploaded, never stored, and never seen by us — there is no server step in this tool at all.

Limits worth knowing

Only quarter turns are possible, because that is all the PDF format records; a scan that is off by three degrees cannot be straightened here. Password-protected files are refused with a message telling you which file and why. If a page still looks wrong after rotating, rotate it again — two 90° turns are a 180.
